Job Description
Position Summary:
Sparksoft is a fast-growing woman-owned small business that provides innovative technical solutions to the federal government. We are seeking a Pega Architect who is passionate about designing and building complex Pega applications for our federal government clients . The successful Pega Architect should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a deep understanding of Pega applications design and implementation best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise, direction, technical oversight in the development and/or modification of Pega solutions. Use expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.
- Support Inception and Elaboration to ensure optimal solution architecture and design.
- Direct and oversee technical teams in Construction of the designed solution.
- Develop custom systems integration solution components as dictated by business requirements.
- Designs, develops, and maintains complex applications using Pega solutions that adhere to platform best practices.
- Manage systems Validation and defect resolution efforts.
- Responsible for coding and unit testing using Pega features based on the design provided by the Sr Developer and Product Owners.
- Experience in creating technical rules such as Data Pages, Activities, Data transforms, Flows, Case Types, Decision rules, etc. following the branching strategy.
- Good understanding of UX/UI and experience in working with Portals, Skins, Flow Action, Sections, and all the UI components.
- Working experience DevSecOps, Scaled Agile Methodology and AWS cloud environment.
- As part of an agile team, will be working closely with other agile team members and customers to implement a Pega based case management system with multiple integration and backend services.
- Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
- May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project.
- Ensures reliability and availability of Pega's BRE and BPM Platform and works with cross-functional teams on capacity planning.
- Creates activities and steps for implementing Core Business Logic.
- Identifies reporting requirements to general business functionality, non-functionality needs and required data attributes for BPM specific workflows.
- Validates code for compliance of standards and Pega Guardrails.
- Ensures the Pega system fits the enterprise environment and meets business requirements.
- Play Tech Lead role who guides team in building robust applications faster in addition to building enhancements independently.
- Collaborate with project leadership and client management to manage the engagement direction, pinpoint and resolve high-level issues and develop implementation plans.
Requirements
Required Skills/Experience:
- In-depth understanding of Pega development best practices, design patterns, and software engineering principles
- Robust understanding of Pega rules management, class hierarchy, data model, process flows, User Interface (UI) rules, Pega Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) reports, Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) exports, and Pega security model etc.
- Experience in integrating Pega applications with external APIs, web services and legacy data sources.
- Experience with AWS services and deploying and managing Pega applications on the AWS cloud.
- Hands on Design/Development experience in Pega Case Management.
- Solid understanding of Business Process Management and Customer Relationship Management concepts.
- Understanding of BPM, BRE and creating web applications that are process oriented.
- Identifies reusable functionality and implements it as a reusable component.
- Exposure to web services (SOAP, RESTful, XML, JSON, etc.)
- Understanding of PRPC flows, decisions, and rules.
- Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, system development life cycle and project management frameworks.
- Exposure to and familiarity with various industries and specific operational solutions.
- Has experience in leading a development team and mentoring junior developers.
Desired:
- Experience with CMS Marketplace eligibility and appeal processing
- Experience / knowledge of CMS processes and standards.
- Certs: Pega Lead System Architect (LSA), Pega Senior Systems Architect (SSA)
Required:
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.
Education:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable field
- 8+ years of experience
