This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Pega Senior System Architect in Spain.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pega professional to contribute to enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives within an Agile and highly collaborative environment. In this role, you will design and deliver scalable Pega Platform solutions that support complex business workflows, integrations, and automation strategies. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into secure, high-performing applications aligned with enterprise standards. The position combines hands-on architecture, development, troubleshooting, and DevOps responsibilities across modern Pega ecosystems. You will also mentor team members and contribute to technical best practices while supporting long-term platform scalability and stability. This role is ideal for someone passionate about workflow automation, enterprise architecture, and building impactful business applications using the Pega Platform.

Accountabilities:

This role focuses on architecting, developing, and optimizing scalable Pega solutions while ensuring performance, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise standards.

  • Design, configure, and support scalable applications using the Pega Platform including App Studio and Dev Studio
  • Develop and maintain case management workflows, UI components, and decisioning logic aligned with business requirements
  • Translate complex business needs into technical solutions following Pega guardrails and architectural best practices
  • Apply modular design principles, rule resolution strategies, and class hierarchy standards to ensure scalability and reusability
  • Build and manage integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP services
  • Configure and maintain application security models including RBAC and ABAC policies
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance using tools such as Tracer, PDC, and system logs
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes, branching strategies, deployments, and DevOps automation using Pega Deployment Manager
  • Ensure delivery of maintainable, high-quality technical components within Agile project environments
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, peer reviews, and collaboration initiatives
  • Support integration workstreams and contribute to technical decision-making processes across projects
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate combines deep Pega Platform expertise with strong problem-solving skills and experience delivering enterprise-grade workflow solutions.

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Pega Platform development in Agile environments, with 5+ years considered highly valuable
    • Active Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification
    • Practical experience with Pega Constellation and/or Cosmos UI frameworks
    • Strong knowledge of case management, workflow design, decisioning logic, rule resolution, and modular application architecture
    • Experience building integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, SQL, connectors, and authentication profiles
    • Strong understanding of RBAC/ABAC security models and enterprise application security practices
    • Experience with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and diagnostics using Pega Tracer, PDC, and logs
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, deployment automation, and Pega Deployment Manager
    • Solid technical background in Java and object-oriented programming principles
    • Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with relational data models
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
    • Upper-intermediate or higher English communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Must be based in Europe excluding Romania, Poland, and Bulgaria
