Job Description

As a Penetration Tester in our Red Team, you will have the opportunity to apply your outsider mindset, cybersecurity skills, and experiences to mission-critical products and services. You will be part of a diverse international team that values growth and development in both personal and technical areas. You will work with all areas of the company to establish meaningful relationships, drive cybersecurity culture, and directly influence the way we create secure, market-leading, mission-critical products. This position has less than 10% travel and can be fully remote.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of penetration tests

  • Documentation and report writing

  • Data, code, and vulnerability analysis

  • Tool and script development

  • Research and Training

Technical Skills:

  • A good understanding of penetration testing wired and wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and Ethernet/TCP-IP

  • The ability to perform penetration testing activities related to Mobile and Embedded Operating Systems and Applications

  • Some familiarity with the Open Source Security Testing Methodology Manual (OSSTMM), Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)

  • An understanding of cybersecurity and penetration testing methodologies like Mitre ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain

  • A good understanding of Windows/Linux-based operating systems and networking

  • Familiarity with cloud computing models, technologies, and concepts

  • Skills with some of the following: Bash, Powershell, Python, Assembly, C/C++, C#, Javascript, Java

  • The ability to execute a penetration testing project independently, for the full engagement lifecycle

Qualifications/Certifications:

One or more of the following are desired: OSCP, OSWP, GAWN, and/or the ability to pass OSCP or OSWP within 6 months of hire.

Candidates can reside anywhere in the US.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in information security or a technical role and 1+ years of active hands-on experience in performing penetration tests/ethical hacking as a primary responsibility.

  • OR military service and 1+ years of experience in information security or a technical role and 1+ years of active hands-on experience in performing penetration tests/ethical hacking as a primary responsibility

  • OR 4+ years of work experience with 1+ years of experience in information security or a technical role and 1+ years of active hands-on experience in performing penetration tests/ethical hacking as a primary responsibility

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
