The Pension Actuarial Analyst is responsible for working with the Pricing Risk Transfer (PRT) Pricing team to support pre-sale Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) data analysis and reporting, the Sales and Implementation team, and the Administration teams to prepare newly won PRT and Defined Benefit (DB) cases for ongoing administration. This role reviews, analyzes and loads all pension data and manages the data reconciliation processes. The Analyst is also responsible for supporting the PCS Manager and Consultant's post placement implementation work and supporting pension actuaries in pre-sale work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data review and analysis of both pre- and post- sale data
  • Load pension data into OneAmerica administration systems
  • Document data related Questions Log entries
  • Support Pension Actuaries as needed including data for experience studies and pricing in-pay only plans
  • Drive PRT Data cleanse projects
  • PRT premium and data true-up and Bulk payment reconciliations
  • Process events in transition implementation data updates
  • Support development of benefit specifications
  • Split Deal/Reinsurance/Coinsurance Reconciliation, treaty, and payment processes
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain an enhanced bid activity tool
  • Assist with retiree medical invoicing and administrative cost forecasts
  • Assist with annuitant death review and processing.
  • Develop process to efficiently track and report deaths in "real time"
  • Assist valuation and financial teams in explaining reserve related sources of earnings (product margin)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; Finance, Accounting or IT major preferred
  • 2+ years in Finance, IT or Accounting
  • Pension knowledge strongly preferred
  • Must have strong attention to detail, strong data analysis and excel skills
  • Position regularly requires the employee to evaluate possible courses of conduct and make independent decisions or recommendations.

Salary Band: 05B

This selected candidate will be expected to work Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
