The Role:
We are looking for a People Business Partner to work as an individual contributor in partnership with leaders across the Cerebral enterprise to help consult leaders on People processes to assigned client groups all the while propelling all people related projects, enterprise wide. This role will be instrumental in partnering with both internal clients (leaders and employees) and your colleagues/ people partners to develop new tools and processes, helping Cerebral to continue along our growth trajectory.
The ideal candidate must be a change agent, a master of the People craft, and someone who is passionate about making a significant impact on Cerebral’s core business. You must excel in a fast-paced, start-up, iterative, environment. You will be a trusted advisor both within the People organization and across our enterprise to both employees and leadership. Partnering closely as a broker for People services and as the sole deliverer of People services is all expected. Areas this role will deliver on are quite broad, such as talent management/development, org design, benefits, contract labor guidance, employee relations and more. All of our work on this team is to help everyone drive a culture of engagement, transparency, and continuous growth.
Who you are
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Human Resources capacity as an HR Business Partner or having significant work in multiple HR disciplines including work at a fast-growing startup organization.Â
- BA/BS required, preferably MA/MS degree in a related HR/LR discipline
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred, but not required
- Your work history should include work at a fast-growing startup organization.
- Familiarity and comfortable working in remote/distributed teams.
- Knowledgeable about all state and national regulations concerning all aspects of employment (vacation, overtime pay, employee benefit eligibility, etc.)
- Customer service attitude toward internal employees and leaders. A demonstrated history of following things through to completion for your clients.
- Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practices of HR including employment law & compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with an exceptional ability to communicate both verbally and written.
- Ability to set high personal goals and work independently
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Precise attention to detail

- Interface with company employees and triage HR-related needs as the first point of contact for HR-related questions
- Process updates and changes to HRIS systems and employee files as needed
- Organize and become subject matter expert on People/HR related benefits and servicesÂ
- Support better organizing our people processes, tools, and workflows.
- Partner with peers or lead small to transformative projects and organizational changes
- Identify and execute on continuous improvement of People/HR programs and processes to improve the employee and leader experience.
- Administrative HR support to People and Executive leadership
- Any other ad hoc people-related tasks and projects that may come up -- a can do attitude!
