The Role

TaxBit is in the process of scaling to hundreds of team members over the next year. As we continue to grow from a single office in Utah to an HQ2 in Seattle and beyond, we know that nothing is more important than prioritizing our people. 

This role will report directly to the Head of People & Culture as a strategic advisor. We’re looking for a business partner to take on projects including: compensation benchmarking; building benefits expertise; diversity; equity & inclusion; performance management; professional development; and people analytics. 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a hypergrowth start-up and own people processes and policies—both from a strategy and execution perspective. You’ll play a critical role in our People & Culture team as we develop and maintain an amazing and inclusive culture for our global team members!   

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to Head of People & Culture, and as an advocate and resource for TaxBit employees
  • Identify, define, and develop a suite of people policies and procedures that support our organizational goals
  • Help foster an inclusive and engaging working environment
  • Work across other People & Culture functions to advise and support our overall growth strategy 
  • Drive data-based, people-related solutions to our rapidly growing organization
  • Develop expertise in best-in-class benefits and wellness offerings
  • Implement an ecosystem for performance management, career paths, promotion cycle, employee leveling, compensation benchmarking, and comp bands
  • Create and/or identify professional development opportunities, including creating a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of total experience in Business Partner, People Ops, or HR functions
  • Previously taken part in a high-growth organization and are excited to help scale another start-up
  • Data-forward with strong data visualization skills; proficient in Excel functions including: basic formulas, chart creations, pivot tables, and v-lookups
  • Share points of view on what it takes to create and scale an amazing culture, as well as some of the potential challenges we’ll face as we scale 
  • Driver of  diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging efforts; have a good understanding of what it takes to create an inclusive culture where all of our team members can thrive
  • Open and empathetic
  • Strongly believe in the voice of the employee and can translate feedback into actionable improvements for our employee experience
  • Experience in partnering cross-functionally with departmental leaders and executives, and the ability to help influence and drive important people decisions
  • Optimist who’s excited to make a positive impact on our people and culture
