Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, Inc. (Avid RP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company, is a molecular imaging company developing diagnostics and biomarkers that improve global health by accelerating the development of new medicines and enabling a tailored approach to healthcare.
Position Overview:
The Manager - People & Culture Operations is responsible for providing site HR generalist support for the Philadelphia, PA site and the Avid team. This role will play a critical role in executing on our People Strategy to ensure a best-in-class employee experience for Avid team members by developing, leading and implementing projects and/or processes to achieve both long-term and short-term objectives of Avid and contributing to the broader Lilly organization. Areas of focus will include but are not limited to: workforce planning and design; employee engagement; talent acquisition and on-boarding; employee lifecycle support and management; counsel for leaders and employees; reward and recognition; employee development; site benefits; and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
This role will work across the Avid and Lilly organization to drive business results and will collaborate with subject matter experts in Human Resources to ensure that the policies, programs, and plans best serve the needs of the business they support.
Responsibilities:
Business Partnership
- Assist with the development and implementation strategic workforce plan and corresponding development, retention, and diversity/inclusion strategies.
- Implement innovative initiatives and processes, including the associated leading and lagging metrics to improve the outcomes (e.g., leadership capabilities, engagement/retention) and deliver on business strategy.
- Provide front-line support for all HR related questions, connecting employees to information and resources as applicable.
- Develop strong relationships with HR Centers of Excellence partners (e.g. Compensation, Employee Relations, HR technology, Recruiting)
Talent and Performance Management
- Partner with leaders and to forecast and plan their talent pipeline needs and effective organizational design.
- Partner with leaders to implement effective performance management to create and sustain a high-performance workforce.
- Contribute to developing a strong leadership and coaching culture throughout Avid.
- Provide guidance and counsel to employees and/or supervisor and partner with corporate employee relations function as needed.
- Work with training partners to develop training material, curricula, and assignments
- Provide training reports and audit support as needed
- Partner with Lilly Learning and Development colleagues to ensure applicable training is assigned and completed by Avid staff
- Assist in planning and support development activities, including workshops, internal and external presentations, seminars, etc.
- Serve as a facilitator/training for training and development activities as needed
Talent Acquisition
- Track Avid headcount and manage all new headcount/recruiting request review and approvals.
- Assist hiring managers with the creation of job descriptions, determining path and level, and other items as needed.
- Plan and execute recruiting and sourcing activities as needed.
- Source passive candidates to build future pipeline.
- Lead and manage Avid intern and co-op programs.
- Act as member of the interview team.
- Partner with recruiting team as needed.
Employee Engagement
- Influence and assist organizational change initiatives in support of business strategy.
- Assist with conducting organizational assessments, identify areas in need of intervention, develop or identify resources to address needs.
- Lead or Partner with Operations colleagues to plan and execute various engagement events and resources to support a dynamic, inclusive, and positive culture-creating a best-in-class experience for the Avid team.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Lead on-boarding process for all new employees, including but not limited to coordination with IT, preparing manager for on-boarding activities, coordinating with training leaders to create learning plans, etc.
- Conduct new hire orientation and on-boarding for all new employees.
- Manage exit process including but not limited to exit interviews, collecting company assets, coordinating with IT, etc.
- Manage all required actions associated with employee changes (e.g. promotions, terminations, etc.).
HR Compliance and Reporting
- Assist with the development and implement policies, SOPs, and procedures in collaboration with other teams as needed.
- Perform regular audits on HR documentation to ensure compliance.
Other duties as needed
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant human resources experience
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- SPHR or PHR certification preferred
- Proficient with HRIS systems (e.g. Workday/metric systems)
- Understanding of common HR policies, compliance rules/regulations and procedures
- Strong technical skills (e.g. Excel and Powerpoint)
- Demonstrated leadership/influence in HR related initiatives
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working and across all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with diversity, inclusion, and equity strategies to engage employees
- Project management: flexibility and agility in managing projects and workload
- Outcomes Focus: Demonstrated both a bias for action and focus on results.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to appropriately diagnose business problems and create and implement appropriate solutions.
- Measurement Orientation: Demonstrated ability and propensity to use data, measurement, and analytics to diagnose problems and to evaluate the actual effect of changes implemented.
- Business Acumen: Understands what is critical and unique to performance of this unit and the implications for the organization and people.
- Courage: Demonstrated ability to provoke or motivate the business partner as well as other HR professionals to think and act beyond what is normally expected. Act with no fear of speaking up against the status quo. Can perceive areas of receptivity and resistance and effectively leverage those to drive change.
- Influence: Ability to influence and steer people at all levels, without authority, convince partners at varying levels to accept/appreciate/need HR insights.

- This role is located in Philadelphia, PA but has flexibility to work from home on some days.
