Zayo is seeking an People & Culture Operations Specialist, who will be responsible for executing HR transactions, administration and projects as well as supporting the global HR team. As a member of the People & Culture Operations team, you will provide support as needed and will also receive guidance and escalation support. In your role, you will be encouraged to continually consider and propose process improvement ideas. You will work on the HR ops team, which partners with cross-functional internal partners and managers. This position will report into the Sr. Manager, People & Culture Operations and you will work alongside other People & Culture operations roles. This role may be project-heavy and require problem-resolution skills. You may focus on policy, Workday management actions, ensure policies, practices & procedures are understood and followed by Zayo management & employees.
Note on work location:
- Our ideal candidate will reside in the Boulder, CO or Denver, CO area. You'll get to work in a hybrid capacity (working 2-3 days/week in office with 2-3 days/week remotely; flexing to the needs of the business).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Duties:
- Responsible for daily HR operation duties, including, but not limited to:
- I-9 process: schedule appointments with individual employees to verify and complete I-9s; organize I-9s and ensure compliance
- Contractor management: manage contractor end dates & responsible for contractor termination compliance; execute the process to term, convert or extend contractors; provide reporting and tracking
- Employee data: ensure employee data is secure and organized; pull and analyze reports
- HR projects: Work as the on-point person for various HR-related projects as assigned; some projects you will lead or complete on your own, while others you will collaborate on with team members
- Process improvement: Consult with the People & Culture Operations leader on the development and implementation of HR processes
- Relationships: A critical part of this role is to maintain good working relationships with HR business partners, directors, managers, employees and others
- Other duties: Support HR team in providing employees with first-line support; participate in company SOX audits and provide weekly data; provide support company mergers & acquisitions as needed
Cross-train:
- Cross train with other functions on the HR ops team to provide back-up coverage, including:
- Employee relations: performance improvement plans, final warnings, investigations, terminations, separation agreements, etc.
- Workday items: complete Workday action items / tasks; check the Workday inbox; complete Workday terminations & help administer the overall Workday termination process to stay compliant & stay in communication with team members; update and gather information as needed for the voluntary term tracker; complete and prioritize HRBP Workday requests
- Other HR Ops duties: onboarding, off boarding, verifications of employment, COVID company procedures, managing HR inbox, etc.

Base pay range: $50,500- $67,300, commensurate with experience.
