The Role
As our team expands and evolves, we are looking for a People and Culture Partner to partner closely with our research and engineering teams in Mountain View and the Bay area, and closely collaborate with the wider People and Culture team in our London, Mountain View and New York City offices.
You will spend the majority of your time working within our Research teams, in addition to contributing to projects to build tools and programs to support our culture, Google DeepMinders, managers and leaders.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high impact solutions to challenges including change management, organizational design, post-merger integration, leadership capability and career development.
- Establish positive relationships with leaders and teams across the organization by demonstrating empathy and building understanding and trust quickly.Â
- Operate in an extremely organized manner, working quickly and balancing many different tasks, while being proactive and anticipating what needs to be done ahead of time.
- Operate creatively and implement innovative, well thought through solutions in a rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Be an effective and trusted adviser, coaching managers on a 1:1 basis to develop their skills, improve team performance and meet organizational goals.
- Take a data driven approach to partnering, using data and research in making recommendations or implementing changes.
- Operate independently leading your own work and projects while also working in a highly encouraging and collaborative team. Share information and support the growth and development of others in your team, understanding that succeed or fail, we do so as a team!
About You
In order to set you up for success as a People & Culture Partner at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience operating as an HR professional, preferably in a mix of small but fast growing businesses and larger companies.
- Experience building innovative HR practices and frameworks and navigating organizational complexity.
- Preferably, some experience with post-merger integration and culture change.
- You enjoy a blend of partnering and project work and are able to seamlessly move from one to the other.
- Excellent understanding of human behavior, including a proven understanding of self.
- Experience working in North America, with knowledge of local employment law and practices.
- Ability to work autonomously, using good judgment and decision making.
- You can turn your hand to most things and if you don’t know the answer you are tenacious in finding out.
- Ability to travel as needed to other offices in North America or EMEA.
- Substantial experience partnering with senior team members and supporting them in developing robust, cohesive teams.Â

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $129,000 - $198,000+ bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
