PEOPLE Editorial Assistant

About Your Role:
As an Editorial Assistant for PEOPLE at Dotdash Meredith, you will work with the digital evergreen content department to build articles in our CMS, copy edit and fact check articles before publish, write timely articles and assist in building and maintaining our evergreen editorial calendar. The ideal candidate will be a digitally-savvy pop culture and celebrity expert, and enthusiastic about the brand. This role requires a minimum 30-hour weekly commitment and will be based out of our New York City office.
About Your Contributions:

• Load articles into the Dotdash Meredith CMS and edit so they are free of formatting errors and typos
• Edit articles for style, grammar, tone, structure, and adherence to brand and Dotdash Meredith guidelines
• Write and update timely evergreen articles
• Build and maintain the evergreen editorial calendar

About You:

• 1-2 years experience with a celebrity news publication or in a related lifestyle space
• Sharp editorial eye
• Experience collaborating with and/or managing writers
• Detail-oriented and organized, yet loves a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Passionate about celebrity and pop culture

Pay Range: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
