People Generalist
Job Description
Crescent’s Site People Generalist is responsible to work with the site operations to develop a high- performing team committed to meeting the needs of our customer, our company and our people through providing the highest quality of support services. These support services will operate as outlined in the Crescent Way- 3 P’s – STAR Process:

- Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing it Safe
- Monitor OSHA recordables to ensure proper documentation / compliance and root cause analysis
- Accident Reporting and Investigations
- Participate in on-site safety committees
- Establish a level of momentum for participation by everyone in performing safety sentinels/observations and training to JHA’s.
- Administer and analyze Voice of our People – annual themes
- Provide full cycle talent management
- Ensure STAR is fully and fairly implemented across the operation
- Brand Crescent as an employer where People can grow to their fullest potential
- Coordinate on strategic initiatives that drive employee engagement and motivation and productivity
- Monitor leveling up program to ensure alignment to the TSP
- Conduct monthly SLA with talent partners to ensuring services meet the needs of the operation
- Publish quarterly competitive landscape
- Ensure our performance management system is fully understood and aligned with the Crescent Strategy and is uniformly implemented within the operation
- Effectively partner with operation leaders to manage employee relations and provide guidance on complex people matters
- Communicate concerns pertaining to competitive landscape
- Ensure SCARF is fully embraced within the operation- improving the motivation and engagement of all People, FTE and Temporary employees
- Assist with the development and implementation of training programs
- Manage the onboarding process for all new hires
- Analyze and audit the leveling up program to ensure, alignment, consistency and fairness
- Drive training as a core value within Crescent by ensuring on-boarding plan is scheduled and completed for all new hires
- Oversee and monitor the assessment process
- Timely and accurate people data reporting and records management
- Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine areas of opportunity
- Optimize site resources and people management by supporting, developing, and sustaining the site leadership goals and objectives
- Manage the development and refinement of the STAR processes and tools
- Continually challenge and refine Crescent’s People policies
- Understand and become knowledgeable about the concepts and various demands of the customer (know the business)- shared mind-set
- Continually seek out opportunities to streamline the STAR process
- Lead transformation within the operation
- Foster Crescent excellence by cultivating and exemplifying People Group leadership
- Via Voice of the People – identify key areas for improvement in our work environment to enhance retention
- Through the onboarding process ensure all the expectations and KPI’s are understood by all new hires
- Embrace innovation and technology, to eliminate all forms of waste
- Ensure all employment practices comply with federal, state and local regulations
- Ensure all compliance dates are met for reporting
- Ensure compliance training is conducted within the operation

- 1+ years’ hands on experience working as a generalist in a production / manufacturing services environment.
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
- SHRM CP certification
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed
- Proven experience working in an HR department
- Natural interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
- Knowledge of KRONOS is a plus
- Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence a team
