About You
We are looking for a People Operations Associate to join our team. This person should be an innovative thinker with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. We are looking for someone who can grow and thrive in the gray area, help align organizational processes, and be a culture leader at Nutrafol. This role will report to our People Business Partner.Â
While Nutrafol is primarily a remote company, this role requires proximity to our office headquarters and must be based in the NYC Metro Area.
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Partner with the People Business Partner, cross functional business leaders, and employees to understand needs/objectives and implement solutions to address needs
- Manage our PEO system (ADP), keeping all of our systems up-to-date and compliant
- Run payroll and coordinate with the Finance & Accounting teams
- Take control of onboarding new employees, constantly brainstorming new and innovative ideas to improve our current processes
- Facilitate People processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, compensation, and offboarding
- Assist with employee relations issues and escalate to the People Business Partner and Chief People Officer as needed.
- Serve as an advisor for employees and managers alike on company policies, benefits, performance, and culture
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements, internal and external, related to the day-to-day management of employees within the business, reducing legal risks, guaranteeing regulatory compliance, and most importantly enabling employee engagement
- Assist in the development, launch, and management of employee programs
- Assist in hosting weekly meetings with respective business units
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance as neededÂ
- Assist in the project management of strategic People and Talent initiatives
- Continuously improve our People team processes and get involved in other activities as agreed to, in collaboration with the team
- Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that the office is operating smoothly
- Assist with managing and maintaining IT infrastructure within the NYC office
- Liaison with Building Management/Maintenance and address building related matters
RequirementsÂ
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of experience in a People Operations role
- Credibility as someone people gravitate to for counsel and support.Â
- Approachable, relatable, and deeply trustworthyÂ
- Strong emotional intelligence, judgment, diplomacy, empathy, and understands confidentialityÂ
- Ability to flex between being strategic and being able to execute on deliverables
- Highly efficient, able to prioritize and tackle the most meaningful issuesÂ

- Effective communication and critical thinking skills

- Experience in an ambiguous, lean startup environment
