People Operations Associate

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Project manage, administer and find ways to improve the full on-boarding process for all new hires from the time of offer acceptance through their first month, keeping them informed, feeling welcomed and excited about joining EquityZen. Â
- Follow up with new hires to ensure successful completion of onboarding training.
- Serve as day-to-day contact for all employees regarding benefits and policies.
- Ensure employee compliance with ever-evolving COVID-related Return to Office requirements.
- Maintain and project manage DEI calendar.
- Update and maintain recruitment marketing sites that include Glassdoor, Indeed, Built In NYC, LinkedIn as well as work with the Marketing team on additional employer brand marketing initiatives.
- Clean up and maintain Wiki to ensure optimum access to information for all “EZenners” from onboarding and beyond.
- Work with VP and other members of the People Ops team on various projects and initiatives focused on employee development and engagement.
- Stay up to date on evolving employment laws and trends.
- Serve as on-site People Ops point of contact in VP’s absence.Â
THE RIGHT STUFF
- 2+ years of experience as an HR Coordinator with increasing responsibilities and are ready to move to the next step in your HR career OR 1+ years in a People Ops Associate/HRBP role.
- Ability to foster successful relationships with all levels of management.
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to remain organized; you are a note-taker and list-checker.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills - with a sense of humor thrown in when appropriate.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to thrive and be motivated by working in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
- No ego and the belief that no job is too small.
- The ability to balance maintaining confidentiality on all HR matters while fostering collegial relationships with team members across the organization.
- A true interest in Human Resources; you might consider yourself an “HR Nerd”.
- The ability and willingness to work in our NYC office at least 3-4 days per week.
- 4-year degree with a focus on Human Resource Management, Psychology, Sociology, and/or Anthropology

- People Ops experience in a fast-growing, startup environment.
- Experience with People Ops analytics.
- Experience planning and leading employee engagement events.
- SHRM membership and certification.
