About the team:
The Operations and People team supports the staff of BlueLabs, their work, and their clients. Ops and People at BlueLabs includes People Operations: supporting recruitment, onboarding, and the employee experience; Financial Operations: executing payroll, book-keeping, and financial planning; Technical Operations: supporting application access, asset management, and engineering and broader Operational Logistics support: coordinating with corporate counsel and supporting facilities operations.
As a member of the Ops & People team, you might answer questions like:
- What is a current need at BlueLabs, and how can we build a process that addresses it?
- How can we make existing systems more efficient and values-driven?
- How can I create a plan that sets BlueLabs, its staff, and its clients up for success?
As part of the Ops & People team at BlueLabs you’ll be working with a team of operations professionals with various work backgrounds and experiences who seek to make Blue Labs a more efficient, compliant, and positive place to work.
About the role:
The People Operations Associate acts as a people champion who provides front-line, day-to-day support across the organization on all people-related tasks and matters. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the People Operations team’s processes and procedures run smoothly and effectively while providing a best-in-class employee experience. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a passion for helping others and continuously learning, growing, and developing themselves and those around them.Â
In this position you will:
- Support all recruitment activities including creating and editing job descriptions, sourcing, screening candidates, supporting the offer process, and liaising with hiring managers
- Field questions and concerns from employees at all levels of the organization, providing answers, coaching, and directing employees to the appropriate resources
- Collaborate with the other People Operations team members to coordinate and execute all employee onboarding and offboarding related tasks
- Support and administer employee lifecycle program initiatives, including performance reviews, learning and development programs, employee surveys, etc.Â
- Create, maintain, and update process documentation and SOPs
- Assist in employee relations cases where necessary, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Manager of People Operations
- Become a subject matter expert of BlueLabs’ policies and maintain knowledge of employment laws and regulations as well as best policy practicesÂ
- Partner with the rest of the People Operations team on logistics for all virtual and in-person employee events
- Manage HRIS team member data, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance and completing regular audits of the systemÂ
- Build and maintain healthy and trusted relationships with employees across the businessÂ
- Collaborate within the People Operations team as well as across the organization on various ad hoc projects and where areas of opportunity are identified
What we are seeking:
- 2-3+ years of generalist People/ HR experience, including, but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee experience and engagement, and people analytics
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- High level of emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to guide and work with others through a lens of empathy and compassionÂ
- Solutions-oriented mindset with a bias for action; demonstrated track record of executing effectively and efficiently
- A self-started with proven success working both independently and within a team environment; ability to take full ownership of assigned projects and initiativesÂ
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously
- Passion for building strong relationships across an organization through a shared purpose and a sense of openness, transparency, and funÂ
- A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
