Join a tight-knit, mission-driven team that tackles real problems for real people in healthcare. At Take Command, you'll be doing career-defining work with a market-defining health insurance start-up that truly lives out its core values.Â
Let’s be honest—health insurance is usually a confusing, frustrating, and even emotional experience for people. We’re on a mission to fix that with a new model, great technology, and a superior user experience. We have made a great start, but we need your leadership to fully realize our long-term vision.
About the POps Manager Role
- Reporting to the VP of People, you will act as a strategic business partner to the People team and functional leadership, as well as a generalist for the company for all things HR-related.
- Own the delivery and effectiveness of several core HR processes and responsibilities across employee life-cycle activities such as benefits, compliance, policy management and immigration, payroll, performance management, and handbook audits/updates.
- Help create standardized metrics and evaluation processes across HR programs to ensure data-driven approach when evaluating and addressing employee needs.
- Set up processes for and oversee ongoing employee development—help us level up!
- Maintain compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Annually review and make recommendations for improvement of organizational policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
Experience
- You’ve done this before! You have 7+ years of experience working as a People Partner, HR Manager, HR Program Manager or similar role.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Prior experience building scalable infrastructure. Experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change as your companion is a bonus!
- Strong HR functional expertise; knowledgeable on employment law matters, immigration, learning and development, benefits and compliance, and policy management.
Working at Take Command
We’re excited to build a team and culture that reflects our values! We offer competitive pay, health benefits, and equity options to share with this position. We want you to be an owner along with us in revolutionizing healthcare.
- A generously funded ICHRA for medical, dental, and vision premiums and medical expenses. You get to use our own product and we think that’s so exciting and rare!
- Unlimited personal vacation in addition to regular company holidays
- Equity package
- 401(k): 90-day eligibility for 2% match that vests immediately!
- Access to LinkedIn Learning
- We have two beautiful offices conveniently located near The Hill (Dallas) and Holly Commons (Austin). The kitchen is well-stocked and we've designed the space to have lots of different areas to work--lounge on the couch, stand near your colleague at a kiosk desk or hole up in one of our phone rooms!
- Paid parental leave for new parents
- Flexible on where you work – we hope to see you around the office on average 3 days a week especially when white-boarding or building relationships with your colleagues, but you also have the ability to work from home or wherever you'd like when you need to get focus work done.
