We are seeking an experienced and versatile People Operations to join our dynamic People Operations team. As CookUnity continues its rapid growth and transformation, this pivotal role will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and providing comprehensive HR services to our employees, including exempt employees and a large multi-unit hourly workforce. Reporting to the VP of People, youโll focus your efforts on enhancing operational efficiency and delivering exceptional employee experiences.
Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted point of contact and provide HR support to employees across the organization for various aspects of People Operations, including employee relations, payroll, benefits & 401(k), immigration, relocation, employee experience, and workflow/process improvement.
- Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, terminations, and retirement programs, serving as a strategic advisor alongside benefits brokers for annual renewal and open enrollment. Maintain a deep understanding of budgets and effectively manage them.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local labor laws and regulations, taking ownership of all people compliance matters.
- Act as a senior people partner to the Operations leader and their team, providing support in organizational efficiency, offering guidance on people-related issues, and driving effective people programs.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, leveraging insights to enhance decision-making and drive positive change.
- Manage immigration cases and collaborate with key stakeholders, including immigration counsel, Talent Partners, employees, and hiring managers.
- Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to streamline workflows and drive operational efficiencies.
- Lead and oversee people processes, workflows, systems, and the people ops budget.
- Proven experience in HR/People Operations within high-growth business environments, particularly supporting hourly and front-line employee populations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of benefits, including experience as a benefits broker, and a strong grasp of generalist HR functions such as employee relations, compliance, and relevant employment laws.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish effective partnerships at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with workforce planning and flex staffing strategies.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating high-quality people programs, with a strong focus on inclusion and equity in systems and processes.
- Proactive problem solver who can swiftly address and resolve various employee and business-related challenges.
- Deep passion for fostering positive employee experiences, displaying empathy, compassion, and adaptability in interactions with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in various HRIS along with other HR tools (i.e ADP)
- Experience managing complex HR projects and operationalizing HR policies and strategies.
- Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus.
