Team: People Operations
Location: Salt Lake City, UT preferred; open to US Remote
Travel: Less than 15%
Reports to: SVP, People Operations
Job Summary
The People Operations Specialist will actively support People Operations-related functions. The successful candidate will have the desire and demonstrated ability to learn about the functions within the Company, as well as quickly get up-to-speed in understanding the Company culture, business, and organizational structure.
What you'll own:
- Support and participate in the facilitation of various People Ops plans and procedures; and, with an innovative, non-traditional and creative approach, freely share thoughts and ideas related to the development and implementation of Company policies, guidelines and practices.
- May recommend new and creative approaches, policies, and procedures aligned with Company culture to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Support the staffing team as needed, including learning and supporting the Workday Recruiting process.
- Serve as team member resource for addressing or redirecting questions related to hiring, compensation, benefits, wellness programs, and other topics, as necessary.
- Partner with other members of the People Ops team to ensure the smooth integration of newly-acquired team members, effectively managing details within a sometimes stressful, time-constrained environment.
- Participate in the evaluation of proposed policy changes and industry best practices to understand and quantify the impact on equity and inclusion before implementing changes.
- In a timely manner, become an expert with Company's current HRS (Workday).
- Efficiently update and maintain team member records in Workday with a high degree of accuracy; generate system reports as needed.
- Co-facilitate New Hire Orientations with other People Ops team members.
- Perform other related duties, as required, and assigned.

- Excellent skills in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Demonstrable experience with HR systems and applicant tracking systems, preferred
- Ability to understand and use data in decision-making, as well as to support new initiatives
Preferred Education & Relevant Experience
- 1-3 years' People Operations' experience, highly preferred
- Relevant successful and demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a high-tech, high-growth, health care environment
- 3 years' HRS expert-user experience, highly preferred
