Role Summary:
The inKind People Operations Specialist is a multifaceted role within the People team that facilitates all human resources functions and processes including administrative support, talent acquisition, and new hire processing. This role is responsible for the daily administration of various payroll, benefit, government and employee relations programs as well as providing supportive input on updates to existing People Team processes. The People Operations Specialist role functions as both HR administrative support as well as a key member of company culture development.

- Expertise in handling private/confidential matters and information, especially in regards to organizational changes and personnel matters
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Maintain employee records and documentation in a secure and compliant fashion, ensuring only authorized individuals have easy access to accurate information and important documents
- Manage employee inquiries regarding company policies such as attendance, PTO, payroll, company culture, etc
- Work cross-functionally to support and perform administrative tasks such as payroll, device management, benefits administration, and records management
- Prepare HR documents and communication materials such as offer letters & employment agreements, employee surveys, employee offboarding documents, performance management forms, and other policies or procedures as necessary
- Support People Team leadership through the generation of regular and ad hoc reports relating to employee productivity, payroll expenditures, new hires, retention and termination rates, and engagement surveys
- Own the employee onboarding process from signed offer to device management to organizing first day orientation and all the necessary paperwork that is required throughout (including E-Verify & I-9 processes, compliance training, system setups, benefit election & enrollment, etc.)
- Provide ongoing support to the recruitment process including hiring manager syncs, resume reviews, and candidate screening
- Assist with office management tasks (restocking, supply ordering, internal events, etc.) as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years professional experience working within a People/HR team as an administrator or Manager
- Professional experience with payroll management and processes
- Professional experience managing hiring and onboarding processes, including Applicant Tracking System (ATS) system management
- Familiarity with Human Resources compliance processes/procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience working within a People/HR team
- Experience with Gusto and other HRIS systems
- Experience with Greenhouse (ATS)
- AIHR, SHRM, and/or HRCI certifications preferred
Work Environment:
- The candidate in this position will be primarily located in an office environment and be exposed to lighting, temperature, and noise level conditions typical of that environment
- This position is primarily in-person, with an expectation of in-person work at the physical office location in Austin, Texas

Salary :
- $70,000 - $85,000, DOE
