The Role

We are looking for a People Ops Coordinator to join our People Operations Team in our UK Office. As the People Ops Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for employee HR queries and report directly to our UK People Ops Manager. We are a fun and talented team and this is a great opportunity for someone with People Ops Coordinator experience to try something new. The People Ops team are responsible for ensuring people can operate effectively at MedPharm by providing advice and support as well as searching for continuous improvement strategies.

What does a HR Coordinator do?

• Act as the first point of contact for day-day People operations and advise accordingly allowing managers to take a more proactive and strategic approach
• Oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit
• Manage and maintain employee records (electronically and paper based) in accordance with Data Protection regulation requirements and assist with the digitalisation of paper-based activities
• Maintain the HRIS and support with ERP implementation.
• Assist the People Ops team with due diligence responsibilities in the employee life cycle such as reference checking, health screening and visa and immigration requirements
• Draft employee correspondence including letters, contracts, offers of employment and company communications
• Collate and provide details for monthly payroll
• Lead and collaborate on corporate projects within the HR team

What we know we need

The successful candidate will be a positive team player who is willing to put the employees needs at the centre of what they do. You will need to demonstrate strong administrative (including Microsoft Office suite) and verbal and written communication skills which will have been developed in a fast-paced office or customer service role. Previous HRIS (or similar databases) and employment law knowledge are both essential for this role, but most of all you will need an interest in the HR profession and eagerness to learn!
