Job Description

This position operates as a day-to-day administrative face of HR, proactively addressing all HR inquiries, responding to benefits inquiries, ensuring data integrity, supporting HR key processes and programs, and all other necessary administration to ensure a successful life cycle at SoundHound. This will be a fast-paced role where you will have the opportunity to work in all functional areas of HR, with a heavy focus on the administrative component. As a small, efficient team, we have a lot of opportunities, and we all pitch in to contribute toward the success of the HR team and SoundHound as a whole.

The work location for this role is available throughout the United States. The workplace options for this role include virtual/remote, hybrid, and in-office (for those who already live near our office in Santa Clara, CA). The salary range for this position is $70,000-$107,500. Our recruiting team will provide a more specific salary range based on work location and years of experience. In addition to salary, you will receive equity (RSUs) and benefits like healthcare and paid time off.

In this role, you will:
  • Administer New Hire Orientation and facilitate onboarding tasks for all employees, including Canadian, US and Global offices
  • Respond to day-to-day inquiries and serve as the first point of contact for employees to address and resolve their requests and concerns in areas such as benefits, HR systems, and employment verification
  • Support all employee data-related tasks while ensuring the highest level of data integrity, confidentiality, and security
  • Ensure our HR Systems are up-to-date and accurate, including ongoing updates to titles, compensation, and other employment data
  • Respond to employee benefit inquiries, help with open enrollment, and manage leave of absence processes, working closely with employees and 3rd party providers
  • Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Guide employees through our established processes for things like promotions, salary changes, and updating employment data
  • Recommend process improvements, identify issues, and make suggestions as appropriate
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives related to operations, security, and compliance (e.g., performance reviews, required trainings)
  • Conduct exit interviews and process all tasks related to off-boarding
We would love to hear from you if:
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of related, full-time experience
  • You are a team player and can work successfully across all functions/departments
  • You are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and respond with a sense of urgency
  • You have the ability to complete projects successfully, ask questions where needed, multi-task, and work within tight deadlines
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills – concise, articulate, and confident
  • You have the ability to work productively and collaboratively with team members and provide extraordinary customer service
  • You are flexible and able to quickly adjust to new priorities
  • You have the ability to develop strong partnering relationships across all levels of the organization
  • You have a track record of effectively organizing and executing priorities

We’d be especially excited if you have a good understanding of U.S. benefits and have experience managing leave of absence processes.

Please include a cover letter in your application explaining why you are excited about this work at SoundHound in particular.
