About the Role

DebtBook is looking to add a People Partner to our team to support our growing organization! You  will partner across functions to drive strategic people initiatives through all levels in the organization. 

The People Partner will be responsible for executing, designing and enabling the onboarding process for all new hires, including the facilitation of new hire orientation. The ideal candidate will help to create a framework for functional onboarding across different teams at DebtBook. This role will partner closely with the Senior People Business Partner and cross-functional leaders to build the onboarding experience and tie to other People initiatives. The People Partner will be vital to the employee experience from day one through their onboarding phase to be enabled to succeed in their new role.

What You’ll Do

Onboarding

  • Assist in designing, executing and enabling the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
  • Help prepare and maintain onboarding materials, such as welcome kits, documents, and online resources
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of onboarding, including scheduling, room bookings, and equipment setup
  • Act as a point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing guidance during their onboarding journey 
  • Seek feedback from new employees to continuously improve the onboarding experience.

New Hire Enablement

  • Partner with leaders to support the development and implementation of functional/role specific onboarding plans for new employees
  • Collaborate with managers to identify learning and development opportunities for new employees
  • Provide ongoing support to new hires, addressing inquiries, and connecting them with the necessary resources
  • Track and monitor new employees' progress during their onboarding period to assess effectiveness of the onboarding through enablement experience

Process and Policy Compliance

  • Ensure new hires are familiar with company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Assist in completing and maintaining accurate employee records and documentation
  • Help facilitate the completion of necessary paperwork, forms, and employment documents
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR processes and policies

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date employee records related to onboarding and enablement.
  • Utilize HR information systems to track and manage onboarding and off-boarding processes
  • Assist in generating reports and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding and enablement initiatives.

Employee Engagement + Community Initiatives

  • Ambassador for DEIB programs
  • Lead Social Committee to ensure inclusive approach to community building 
  • Connecting new programs to our company values, onboarding + employee experience

What You Bring  

  • 2+ years experience in an HR role, preferably in the Technology or financial services industry
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to coordinate and execute programs
  • Strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the learning/onboarding/people programs and identify areas of improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams + stakeholders
  • Ability to conduct a needs analysis (asks root cause questions, collects data/information before deciding action)
  • Flexible and adaptable to accommodate learning styles and individual needs (i.e., in-person vs. virtual)
  • Ability to coach and mentor
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging learning experiences
  • Knowledge of best practices in onboarding, orientation and enablement processes, employee experience, and/or DEIB a plus
  • Knowledge of tech/tools used for employee onboarding and learning
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements/legal considerations related to HR/People Operations
