About the role

Supporting Checkout.com’s growth and working with cross-functional teams in both our HQ and our regional offices, you will manage an exciting portfolio of People projects. As the People Projects Manager, you will sit centrally amongst our core people pillars, including; Departmental and Regional People Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Products, Change & Communications, and Reward & Benefits.

This is an incredibly varied role with significant opportunity to have a huge impact and work with a range of teams within the people team, and across the wider organization. You will be a trusted partner, and have the autonomy and freedom to deliver results whilst working as part of a highly collaborative team.

You will project manage initiatives that contribute to our organizations key objectives, as well as some fundamental projects that feature in our people strategy and roadmap.

Role Overview

  • Act as the central PMO for key strategic People projects building and owning project plans, promoting a high-level of governance and effective status tracking.
  • Managing the full employee lifecycle, from intake through to closure and all that's in between.
  • Proactively identify key activities that need to be undertaken within workstreams and work with owners to map and drive activities.
  • Oversee change, communications and learning impacts across priority programs.
  • Partner closely with the change and communications team to deliver effective change.
  • Track costings and activity against business cases, monitor risk and issue logs and provide regular progress reports to leadership.
  • Leverage Jira to track projects, including upskilling teams on how to utilize Jira as a project management tool. 
  • Facilitates process workflow modeling, create process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles and self-service guidance.
  • Analyze and present relevant data including insights and trends, and ensuring outputs of processes are achieving the desired results. 
  • As and when required, edits and updates project plans, test scripts, functional design documents and other related documentation as needed.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Previous experience of leading on projects of varying complexity within fast-growing global organizations, managing projects end-to-end and ensuring continual improvement.
  • Pragmatic with the ability to navigate complexity in a dynamic and innovative environment.
  • Bias for action, excellent attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through.
  • Data-driven, with ability to translate large amounts of data into insights and solutions.
  • Proactive, with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently; can take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed structure, comfortable in different roles whether it be leading and/ or supporting. 
  • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications, effectively influencing a wide variety of audiences.
  • Have good experience with agile and waterfall project management methodologies 
  • Have experience of agile frameworks and Kanban
