Niantic is seeking a People Systems Operations Manager to proactively support People Operations by ensuring high quality stakeholder partnership and delivering efficiencies through the employee lifecycle. This is a full-time, hybrid role located in the Bay Area.

The Systems Operations Manager will be a systems thinker and strong cross-functional partner. They will have the opportunity to make an impact on the Niantic employee experience by proactively identifying ways to improve People team systems and processes. By using data, HR standard methodologies, and a deft approach, you’ll help the People Operations team raise the standard of operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Partner and collaborate with cross-functional team members to proactively resolve and deliver relevant and impactful HR operation solutions to business and system challenges.
  • Be the in-house people systems lead and trusted advisor by cultivating relationships across the people team and with other internal partners.
  • Generate practical insights and recommendations to optimize and inform key people operations processes.
  • Build and manage the People Operations knowledge management system.
  • Facilitate completion and accuracy of required reporting. Complete ad hoc requests and lead special projects to support the People Leadership Team.
  • Recommend, design, and draft employee lifecycle policies and procedures that enhance and optimize existing HR practices, so that they remain fit for purpose.
  • Become a trusted resource for HR systems, data, policy, and process knowledge to function as a project manager for HR operation enhancements by supporting new module roll-out and driving optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure legal compliance by managing and implementing applicable policy and process revisions, supporting HR employment audits, and completing any required government reporting.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of HR operations-related work experience in process improvement, compliance (state and federal employment laws), employee lifecycle (pre-onboarding through off-boarding), and HRIS administration (Workday experience)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Resourceful problem-solver that can troubleshoot issues independently and drive impactful solutions with the ability to manage complex processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to write policy and process documentation, and draft company-wide internal communications.
  • Skilled at building trust at all organizational levels and working collaboratively to solve problems.
  • Able to handle opposing priorities; balance short-term tactical implementation with longer-term strategic goals.

  • You have experience with the games industry, high growth, and/or an agile development environment.
  • Experience with UKG Pro and/or Workday implementations.
