Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This per diem opportunity for a Staff Pharmacist offers a dynamic role within a retail pharmacy setting in Chicago, IL. The position is ideal for pharmacists who are adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring patient safety.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss prescriptions and resolve medication-related issues.
• Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support inventory management, including stocking and ordering pharmaceuticals.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address patient inquiries professionally.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Licensed Pharmacist with a valid Illinois license.
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, and pharmacy laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Proficient with pharmacy management software and technology.
Schedule/Hours:
• Per diem schedule, with flexibility to cover varying shifts based on demand.
Location:
• Chicago, Illinois
