Job Description

We’re Rent., a Redfin company. We're the leading technology company in the property rental industry. We deliver integrated solutions that bring together the right renter, with the right property, at the right time.

Rent's robust, proprietary AI platform powers a full suite of best-in-class digital marketing solutions across our flagship listing sites Rent.com, ApartmentGuide.com, and Rentals.com, as well as search, social, email marketing, reputation management, a virtual leasing office, and more. We simplify the rental journey through an engaging user experience and data-driven innovations.

At Rent., our mission is to simplify the experience of connecting people & properties. Period.

We’re looking for a dynamic Performance Analyst to join our Account Management team. In this role, you’ll be a vital partner to our Sales team, focusing on retaining and expanding business with our Marketplace clients as they approach the end of their contract terms. You'll use your analytical skills to identify opportunities to reduce churn, drive renewals, and capitalize on cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Client Retention and Growth:

    • Proactively engage with active Marketplace clients nearing the end of their contracts.

    • Develop strategies to secure renewals, increase client investments, and expand their property portfolios.

    • Prioritize high-value clients and those with multiple property listings to maximize business growth.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze performance data for Marketplace listings, focusing on identifying trends and risks.

    • Transform complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for the Sales team.

    • Monitor performance alerts and collaborate with internal teams to address potential issues before they impact clients.

  • Strategic Collaboration:

    • Partner closely with the Sales team to provide tailored recommendations that align with client needs and business objectives.

    • Utilize a Sales “playbook” to match client situations with the appropriate strategies, ensuring a consistent approach to client retention and growth.

    • Engage with the Content & Lead Delivery (C&LD) team and other internal resources to resolve client performance issues when necessary.

  • Client Engagement:

    • Serve as the “air traffic control” for clients coming off their contracts, initiating actions 90 days before contract end dates.

    • Focus on listings with higher Average Revenue per Property (ARPP) and Property Management Companies (PMCs) with multiple listings.

    • Provide strategic support to Sales during client meetings when requested, ensuring that recommendations are presented effectively.

  • Long-term Focus:

    • Over time, expand your focus to include clients running month-to-month (MTM) contracts, using similar strategies to secure renewals and prevent churn.

    • Continuously refine and improve processes for analyzing client data and developing recommendations.

Critical Skills and Experience:

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytics role, ideally with exposure to deal architecture, Sales, or Customer Success.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across different teams to drive results.

Analytical Expertise:

  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to turn insights into actionable client recommendations.

  • Experience with digital marketing analytics, preferably within the multifamily industry.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise reports and recommendations.

  • Comfortable communicating in a dynamic and open workspace, building positive working relationships within and across job functions.
