Job Summary

This position is responsible for partnering with the director and management teams to identify, verify, analyze, and implement process improvement opportunities that support the Indian Health Service and Medicaid Utilization Review department strategic directions; creating process monitoring structures for continuous process improvement; ensuring appropriate application of best practice standards, guidelines, procedures, and tools for analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvement initiatives; and coordinating/preparing technical responses to Request For Proposal (RFPs).

Required Job Qualifications: (Specify the minimum level of education, experience, knowledge and skill needed to perform this job.)

  • Bachelor's degree OR 4 years' experience in a position involving independent judgment.
  • 4 years' experience in project management using process improvement methodology and associated deliverables.
  • 3 years' experience in development and management of business metrics.
  • Experience with business operations statistical analysis.
  • Interpersonal skills, including ability to work in a team environment, facilitate teams, support consensus decisions, display flexibility, present a professional and knowledgeable image, and act with diplomacy.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure; meet deadlines; support multiple departments; and manage multiple projects.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Job Qualifications: (Specify the preferred level of education, experience, knowledge and skill desired when filling this job.)

  • Experience with database systems including Access and Visio.
  • Knowledge of various compliance audit methodologies, quality programs, and contract monitoring processes.
