Job Description

Who are we?

IEQ Capital is a Registered Investment Advisor seeking to transform traditional wealth management. Our quest is to integrate the Intellectual and Emotional Quotient, generating exceptional investment results driven by a values-oriented culture that fosters connection and collaboration with our clients. We are an independent, predominantly employee-owned company, adhering to the fiduciary standard to put our clients' interests first. We focus our efforts on helping clients meet their investment objectives without the distractions and limitations that can arise within much larger organizations.

The Role

The Performance Analytics Associate (PAA) will be responsible for managing the firm’s performance reporting system, Addepar, while working directly with senior leadership on larger data-related initiatives. Outside of the ongoing management and system maintenance, this individual will be responsible for identifying project requirements based on business needs while designing and implementing solutions to optimize processes.

The PAA must exhibit sound judgement, a high attention to detail, and a genuine passion for data and its impact on business practices. The individual must thrive working independently while also collaborating well within a team in a fast-paced, fluid environment, with an ability to frequently pivot and adjust to the teams’ and COO’s competing priorities.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Research and respond to performance issues and questions raised by Partners & Client Service Associates
  • Assist in managing the relationship with our performance reporting platform, Addepar
  • Collaborate with senior Operations members to design processes to streamline workflows and ensure data integrity
  • Partner with Research and client service teams to find creative solutions to optimize the client experience
  • Constantly challenge the current processes to improve, iterate and create efficiencies for the firm
  • Maintain a suite of performance reports that provides insight into the drivers of portfolio performance and underscores the firm’s stewardship and value
  • Assist in managing an engaging online experience that will allow clients to interact with their portfolios and deepen their understanding of the composition and performance of their investments
  • Manage processes to monitor cash flow, asset allocation, performance, and risk at multiple levels
  • Collaborate on the production and the maintenance of firmwide dashboards designed to drive change within our organization
  • Optimize data flows across different systems within our tech stack
  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert on the firm’s data
Qualifications
  • Quick learner and self-starter, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Exhibit a “no task is too small” mindset
  • Passion for data and its impact on business practices
  • Ability to explain complex ideas with varying degrees of detail depending on the audience
  • Interest in performance measurement skills and a passion for creating an exceptional client experience
  • Familiarity with general investing concepts, investment strategies and portfolio construction
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work autonomously
  • Advanced data analysis and data visualization skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data visualization, investment management, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce experience preferred but not required
  • Financial Services experience working with private equity and hedge fund investments preferred but not required
  • Addepar experience preferred but not required

Career Path

Upward mobility aren’t just words on a page, it’s embedded in our culture. We look for individuals who are curious, who see gaps and find creative solutions, those who don’t stop until the work is done and always give more than what is asked. We value these individuals and want to see them grow and strive within the firm.

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 depending on skills and experience
