As a Performance and Observability Engineer , you will be part of a team using cutting edge cloud and data technologies. Join our team of professionals and accomplish what others only dream of.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system architecture, application design, and performance requirements.
  • Design, develop, and implement effective performance testing strategies and methodologies for microservices-based applications.
  • Utilize tools such as open telemetry, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and Azure Application Insights to monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide real-time insights into application health and performance.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of performance data, identifying trends and patterns, and making recommendations for optimization.
  • Work closely with development teams to review code, architecture, and configurations, providing guidance on best practices for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate performance testing and monitoring into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other system issues across various layers of the application stack.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of performance incidents, and contribute to post-incident reviews to prevent future occurrences.

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel (if needed).

Profile of Success

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in performance engineering and monitoring, with a focus on microservices-based applications.
  • Strong proficiency in utilizing open telemetry, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and Azure Application Insights for performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages ( bash , Python, PowerShell) to automate monitoring and testing processes.
  • Experience with load testing tools ( LoadRunner - preferred ) and performance profiling tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex performance issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and their performance-related services.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams and driving performance improvements.

Desirable Skills

  • Relevant certifications in performance engineering, cloud technologies, or related areas.
  • Experience with other monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc.
  • Knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) concepts and practices.
