Performance Architect/Lead

We’re seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to optimize the IBM Consulting Advantage (ICA) Platform and various assistants and assets that the platform hosts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system performance tuning cloud infrastructure optimization and DevOps practices.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Profiling and analysing IBM Consulting Advantage application performance bottlenecks
• Implementing caching strategies and database optimizations for IBM Consulting Advantage
• Conducting load testing and stress analysis for ICA and its various assistants and assets
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on architecture decisions
• Developing and maintaining monitoring tools and dashboards for IBM consulting Advantage platform
• Come up with scaling strategies for various workloads running in the platform

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in performance engineering such as Java Python or C++
• Performance and Load Testing: Experience with Performance testing tools such as JMeter LoadRunner Gatling to evaluate the scalability and performance of applications. Ability to simulate High traffic conditions and analyse performance bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of database systems and query optimization techniques such as indexing join optimization and execution plan analysis which are crucial for improving query performance
• Knowledge working with a performance monitoring tooling to generate performance metrics and able to quantify and measure performance of the various applications components.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (e.g. Kubernetes Redhat OpenShift Docker) along with understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Agile Project Management Tools: Proficiency with Agile Project Management tools (e.g. GitHub ZenHub JIRA) including the ability to utilize these tools for project tracking and management
• Industry Experience: Knowledge of industry-specific challenges and trends AI Technology consulting or other related fields enabling the development of tailored productivity measurement strategies that address unique industry needs.
• Good understanding of GenAI tools and technologies and Relevant certification related to performance engineering will be added advantage.
