At Centrica Business Solutions, we’re proud to partner with over 7,000 organisations globally – helping them to balance planet, with profit. We build, operate and maintain onsite, large-scale energy assets like Solar PV and Combined Heat and Power – to help businesses to save the planet and save money. We’re also transforming the UK’s energy landscape by partnering with landowners and developers to build a 900MW portfolio of new grid-scale solar farms and battery storage assets.
In support of our Operations and Maintenance department, The Performance Contract Analyst will play a key role in developing and generating reports for both customers and internal stakeholders. These reports are essential for verifying our contractual performance to clients and aligning with business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include designing and programming systems to consolidate and analyse diverse “big data” sources, transforming them into actionable insights for client services and product enhancement. You will work closely with product and service teams to address data analysis needs and experiments, and develop algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets. By identifying key insights from data and metadata, you will communicate your findings effectively to product, service, and business managers, enabling informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Obtain and interpret customer energy data for setting of consumption and cost benchmarks
- Develop and generate energy savings reports for both internal and external stakeholders for Energy Performance Contracts
- Estimating consumption data according to guidance set out by Measurement and Verification (M&V) team
- Maintain data systems to ensure customer data is accurate and up to date.
- Liaising with engineering staff to add detail around works completed / issues encountered
- Production of site of the month communications
- Support the Measurement and Verification (M&V) process as required including statistical analysis of energy data
- May be required to attend management, contract, site and general staff meetings
- Understand and follow the safety and environmental policies, guidelines and procedures as directed by the business
The Person:
- Excellent numeracy and IT skills, must be fluent in common MS packages
- Intermediate Excel ability
- Ideally STEM (Science, Technology, Engineers and Maths) degre
- An inquisitive, analytical mind
- Good problem-solving skills
- A self-starter with drive and initiative
- Good communication skills
- Team focused
- Proximity to our office in Salford - this role will have two on-site days
