This job assumes responsibility for daily data entry, daily auditing and monitoring as well as daily follow-up and weekly and monthly reporting, maintains assigned database(s) and generates reports for PI department, as well as improvement teams and individual clinical departments, works closely and collaboratively with improvement teams to abstract data, analyze data and utilize data to drive improvement and also prepares presentations for improvement teams, designs reports to meet regulatory requirements for auditing and assist in submitting data to regulatory agencies; and manages improvement meetings.
Education
Required - Bachelor's degree
Preferred - Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.
Work Experience
Required - 2 years related experience.
General knowledge and understanding of the principles and theories of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
- Positive interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Self-directed with excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Job Duties• Enters data into worksheets in a timely manner.• Updates and customizes as needed.• Prepares reports and presentations for performance improvement meetings.• Distributes and presents data as needed.• Audits worksheets for completeness and accuracy.• Performs audits of other databases for completeness and accuracy.

Physical and Environmental Demands
The physical essential functions of this job include (but are not limited to) the following: Frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects; occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity.
Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities.
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
