Performance Management Specialist

The qualified candidate must be able to analyze events of care and identify potential quality issues. This individual must be knowledgeable regarding quality performance measures as outlined in the CMS Programs including; NCQA HEDIS and QARR specifications. The individual must demonstrate an aptitude to learn and apply ambulatory quality improvement guidelines for implementation in other QI ambulatory programs. In addition the individual must be able to write and present reports and findings and conclusions in an accurate, succinct and organized manner. Logical, analytic and deductive reasoning skills are required. S/he must be attentive to detail and be able to adhere to work schedules. If not currently competent in word processing, spreadsheets and database development/management, the individual must become within six months of employment.

Under general direction, the associate will lead, monitor, coordinate, plan, present and implement performance improvement initiatives, both within the department and throughout the Montefiore delivery system. Associate will conduct chart review. The individual must work effectively with physicians and other senior staff levels. Individual must have effective communications skills and be able to review clinical findings with appropriate medical staff to effectively explain guidelines and performance improvement activities.

The associate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience The knowledge and abilities required to perform this function are acquired through training and experience equivalent to possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or a related field and four (3) years of experience planning, analyzing and executing administrative operations which utilized interpretation of health care laws and regulations, organizational skills, independent decision making and interaction with multidisciplinary team members,

Project management experience is desirable.
