Performance Test Engineer

We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to support performance testing that measures real-world workloads, ensuring the release of high quality code in a fast-paced CI/CD environment, and ensuring our technology can support rapid business growth.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the design, development, and execution of load and performance testing
• Assist in the development of performance test framework for distributed executions
• Continually compare performance tests against production loads to ensure correct behavior
• Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance during testing runs to accurately estimate capacity requirements for normal and peak volumes
• Develop performance monitoring dashboard to find regressions and bottlenecks
• Design and build scripts that are flexible enough to change throughout a testing project quickly and efficiently with no or minimal impact to the project schedule
• Design and implement key customer performance simulation scripts to help project teams effectively simulate specific scenarios, allowing project teams to isolate and identify root causes for production problems.
• Review complex infrastructure production metrics assisting with identification and isolation of performance or capacity related problems in production

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable experience
• 2+ years experience in a QA Engineer role with a focus on performance testing
• Strong background with Python or Javascript or Java/Groovy
• Experience with Cloud and Kubernetes preferred
• Experience in finding the performance bottlenecks and suggesting performance improvements
• Expertise with software performance testing tools (JMeter, Blazemeter, Loadrunner, Locust, k6)
• Ability to extract data and metrics from SQL databases to evaluate performance of tests
• Breadth of experience and industry knowledge with testing methodologies and testing approaches
• Thrives in fast-paced environment, with ability to operate within short release-cycles
• Detail-oriented nature with strong discipline for adhering to guidelines
• Strong desire to learn new technologies
