During the Performance Test Engineer contract, you will be working closely with our backend team to develop and execute our performance test process.

• Select appropriate tools, develop load testing strategy, identify and recommend solution to system bottlenecks to help scale the backend system serving millions of users

• Create test scripts and realistic load projections

• Design various test scenarios (load, stress, endurance)

• Create synthetic workloads that mimic production traffic

• Perform in-depth performance diagnostics and troubleshooting

• Conduct advanced performance analysis (heap, thread, deadlock detection)

• Provide performance improvement recommendations

• Document and report test results for technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Collaborate on infrastructure deployment for load testing

• Perform capacity analysis and estimation

• Experience: 6+ years of total experience with 2 years in backend software development & 4 years of performance test engineering experience

• Expertise: You have a deep understanding of developing performance testing and running analysis, performance tuning and performance monitoring. 

• Problem solver: You excel at understanding and solving intricate problems. You have astonishing attention to detail.

• Quality communicator: You have mastered strategically breaking down tricky topics in writing and in person.

• Surprisingly efficient: You get a lot done quickly and can translate skills into new projects

• Location:  Remote (limited to the America’s only)

• Our salary for this role is $100-$125/hr for 35 hours a week for a 3-4 month contract.
