Job Description

Provides competent leadership, and highly specialized performance testing of complex systems. Simultaneously plans, manages, and provides technical oversight for performance testing activities. Ensures that tested components are compliant with standards and requirements. Directs completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. May schedule and assign duties to subordinates, and formulate and enforce work standards. Reports in writing and orally to Government contract management personnel and other Government representatives.

Activities performed under this requirement also include:

• Independently develop automation test suites for Performance, Load, Stress, Regression, WAN and Resilience testing
• Develop automated scripts using software languages such as C or Java.
• Validate accuracy of scripts
• Develop performance/load/stress test scenarios
• Independently analyze, interpret and report test results.
• Assess system performance of complex multi‐tier using approved tools which presently include AppDynamics, OpenNMS, Splunk and TeamQuest.

Minimum Requirement:

• 8+ years as a performance tester
• Extremely knowledgeable and skilled in all aspects of information systems.
• Demonstrates ability to analyze project documents and assess the need for performance/load/stress testing.
• Demonstrates ability to improve the performance/load/stress testing approaches based on system design.
• Demonstrates hands‐on ability to support and lead testing activities and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills with all level of management

Desired Capabilities:

• Subject matter/technical expert of performance/load/stress testing with leading performance/load/stress testing tools such as HP LoadRunner (or strong C/C++ or Java programming skills) is required as well as independently assess system performance of complex multi‐tier using Clients approved tools which presently include AppDynamics, OpenNMS, Splunk and TeamQuest.
