The Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for managing third party partners who support our clients. Working in collaboration with our lines of business and technology partners this team will manage the engagement process with these partners, oversee the ongoing operational and technology support processes, manage the financial model and collect market intelligence to determine future demands for services.

Position Summary

The Head of Strategic Partnerships will lead the team that manages the key third party relationships supporting our clients, set the strategy direction for the team, partner with the lines of business to understand business goals and roles of key partners, lead the internal prioritization committees to appropriate resources and oversee the operational and technology support teams serving these partners and mutual clients.

Job Responsibilities
    • Lead the strategy development and implementation process for the management of third-party partners in partnership with the lines of business and technology providers
    • Oversee the operational and technology support and future enhancements for third-party strategic providers
    • Chair the internal committees which prioritize the integration needs and assign the required technology resources
    • Work across all areas of BNY Mellon to ensure there is an overall company view in the management of these relationships
    • Manage the financial model
    • Collect market and other intelligence on existing or potential strategic provider

Qualifications
  • Experience in relationship management, vendor management, product management or strategy, preferably within a financial services organization
  • Deep knowledge of asset and wealth management industry, major players and client segments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a variety of personalities and positions
  • Ability to distil complex concepts in simple, practical terms
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude and ability to structure analyses
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Finance or Mathematical field

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
