Summary

This position is located in the Corporate University of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of designing, conducting and consulting on methodologically-sound evaluation research to systematically investigate training and development program effectiveness, efficiency, and outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. BASIC REQUIREMENT:

Applicants must possess the following basic requirement:

Degree: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor's or higher degree with a major (or equivalent) in Psychology.  YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR TRANSCRIPT(S) (unofficial copy is acceptable)

In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the Specialized Experience:

Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 12 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as (1) applying Industrial and Organizational psychological principles, theories, techniques and guidelines to design assessments (i.e., power analysis, sample size determination, internal and external threats to validity); and (2) conducting statistical analysis utilizing statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS) to analyze data related to job analysis, surveys and test development (e.g., computing test item and scale statistics, performing content or criterion validation, cutoff score determination) in the employee selection, certification, or training evaluation context.

If selected, you may be required to serve a probationary period.
Selectee(s) for this position will be required to report to their duty station office at least 1 day per pay period beginning January 2, 2024, and at their supervisor’s direction to support mission and project needs. In person reporting requirements are expected to increase in July 2024.
