Position Specific Description

RNG operations manager is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the performance and safety of assigned locations inclusive of wells, gas collection system, gas to power facilities, and landfill gas to pipeline quality gas with internal personal or 3rd parties or company employees. Operations managers will implement business plan, steer the delivery of all goals and objectives, monitor, measure, and manage metrics, and meet or exceed financial goals and safety metrics for each facility while ensuring regulatory compliance is met.

  • Drives a safety focused culture
  • Ensure all environmental, health, and safety training is being completed
  • Management of operations and maintenance of wells, GCCS, Gas to power facilities, RNG facilities and pipelines.
  • Understand and explain to employees' process design and operational aspects of the facilities
  • Interpret P&ID and field drawings to recognize operational system or pipeline anomalies and respond operational and emergency situations by providing support to contractors, engineers, and vendors.
  • Partner with or lead maintenance teams to determine preventive and predictive maintenance scheduling intervals and work to maintain, update, and improve the operational efficiency of the computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders request, develop source for stock materials and perform periodic checks of inventory levels and equipment conditions
  • Develop and deliver training methods, materials, and programs relative to facility operating standards, safety, and pipeline compliance
  • Develop preventative, predictive, and defect elimination plans for all assets
  • Ensure the availability of an adequate staffing, inventory of tools and supplies to operate all facilities
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as market requirements
  • Leads collaborative, cross-functional participation to leverage assets and resources
  • Leads team in the completion of maintenance activities with to compliance
  • Act as site lead for FERC/PHMSA pipeline compliance and provide oversight to existing pipeline subcontractors
  • Leads team in solving issues/problems related to equipment and systems
  • Ensures administrative functions are complete and being adhered to
  • Drives departmental policy implementation
  • Drives a collaborative environment, encouraging communication within the department and company operational, compliance, and safety reports
  • Compile data and information and prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Prepare detailed budgets for the wellfield, GCCS, facilities, and pipelines
  • Be a steward of Manage of change
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Bachelor's - Engineering or Equivalent Industry Experience and or Certification
