Pharmacist

Overview We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team! This position is in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy (or foreign equivalent degree) plus knowledge in dispensing in pharmacy and be licensed with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Job duties include Review physicians’ orders; dispense medications; ensure pharmacy compliance with state/federal regulations; evaluate patient’s medical records/medicine history. Improve sales and optimize methods to improve margin dollars by enhancing reputation and positive image with customers in the communities we serve. Develop and execute pharmacy operations communications to support the team and improve morale. Instruct Pharmacists and staff on operations/initiatives of pharmacy programs to improve script growth and margin. Provide recommendations to improve the efficiencies of the Pharmacy workflow. Leads efforts to increase focus on healthcare services (e.g. patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and perform retail, clinical, or wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness) thereby promoting the shift of the pharmacy role from transactional to interpersonal. Participates and assists in community events as requested.. Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, company policies and standards. Responsible for establishing procedures that promotes the efficient workflow of the pharmacy. Define and develop new strategic business opportunities. Maintains current knowledge of information technology associated with pharmacy systems. Establishing expectations and goals while promoting teamwork to optimize customer experience and staff morale. Maintains awareness of developments in retail and management and pursues best Develops and maintains good relationships with local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. Reaches out to the community to promote the pharmacy business and further enhance growth opportunities.
