Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care in various settings, including acute care, pediatrics, and critical care.
Responsibilities
• Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients regarding their prescriptions and health conditions.
• Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication therapy outcomes and make necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans in hospital settings.
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV infusions, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
• Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug information support to medical staff.
• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in pharmacy residency programs or related training.
Qualifications
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred, particularly in acute care or critical care environments.
• Familiarity with IV insertion techniques and IV infusion preparation is highly desirable.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus.
• Strong patient service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess patient needs effectively and provide appropriate recommendations for medication therapy management.
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional growth within the field of pharmacy.

Pay: $65.00 - $74.88 per hour
