Job Title: Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and dedicatedPharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Chargeto lead our pharmacy team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. We are looking for a long-term team member who is committed to excellence, operational efficiency, and patient safety.
Responsibilities:
β’ Lead and manage all pharmacy operations, including staffing, workflow, inventory, and customer service
β’ Supervise and mentor pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
β’ Ensure accurate dispensing of medications and proper documentation
β’ Review and verify prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions
β’ Maintain compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
β’ Serve as the primary point of contact for audits, inspections, and licensing matters
β’ Oversee medication therapy management (MTM) and clinical services
β’ Administer immunizations and manage vaccine inventory in accordance with state protocols
β’ Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
β’ Address and resolve any pharmacy-related issues with patients, providers, or staff
β’ Monitor inventory levels, manage purchasing, and control drug storage and security
β’ Implement and uphold policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient pharmacy practices
β’ Stay current on industry regulations, pharmaceutical trends, and new therapies
Requirements:
β’ Bachelorβs or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
β’ Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in New Jersey
β’ Current certification as aRegistered Immunization Pharmacist(must meet state-specific requirements)
β’ Minimum 3-5 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a leadership or management role
β’ Strong knowledge of immunization protocols, vaccine storage/handling, and documentation
β’ In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication management, and regulatory compliance
β’ Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
β’ High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
β’ Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
β’ Familiarity with third-party billing, insurance plans, and controlled substance regulations
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience with inventory management systems and pharmacy software
β’ Prior experience as a PIC or pharmacy supervisor
β’ Experience providing clinical services such as immunizations and MTM
