Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity offers a dynamic role for a licensed pharmacist to support a specialized diabetic medical supply mail order pharmacy in Chula Vista, CA. The focus is on handling boxed CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitors) and insulin pumps rather than traditional medications, providing a unique pharmacy experience in a non-traditional setting. Responsibilities: • Verify products and ensure accuracy in fulfillment of boxed items such as CGMs and insulin pumps • Collaborate closely with a dedicated team including pharmacy technicians, clerks, and drivers • Manage day-to-day workflow with an average volume of about 20 orders per day • Utilize and learn complex program systems like Brightree with full training provided • Provide support to team members and maintain clear communication throughout the process Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active California State Pharmacist License in good standing, without any negative history • Experience in mail order or retail pharmacy settings preferred • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset • Ability to work efficiently in a detail-oriented, team-based environment • Candidates with multiple state pharmacist licenses are highly encouraged, as this may lead to a permanent site manager role Schedule: • Pharmacy hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with the potential to stay till 8 PM to complete daily tasks Additional Information: • The current team consists of three pharmacists, five technicians, a clerk, and a driver providing tech support to ensure the pharmacist is never working alone • This role is initially offered as contract to hire, with permanent opportunities available based on licensure and fit If you are an experienced pharmacist passionate about patient-centered care and interested in working in a unique mail order environment focused on diabetes management technology, apply now to contribute your expertise and grow within this specialized niche.
