Education:
Millbrook Support Services is seekingPharmaciststo support operations inLancaster, TX. In this essential role, you’ll contribute to the accurate and efficient preparation and verification of prescription medications. Position Overview:
As a Pharmacist, you will provide oversight of pharmacy technicians, review and verify prescription orders, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the highest standards of pharmaceutical care. You will work closely with other pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and operational leadership to ensure the safe and timely delivery of prescription medications within a federally regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review, interpret, and verify prescription orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily operations, including dispensing and data entry.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and VA pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
• Monitor medication inventory for accuracy, security, and compliance.
• Assist with resolution of prescription or patient-related issues, including clarifications and discrepancies.
• Document interventions, order verifications, and other clinical activities as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain operational efficiency and meet performance goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
Licensure & Certification:
• Must be in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
• Be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Must be licensed for controlled substances.
Experience:
• Preferred:At leastone (1) yearof experience in a pharmacy setting (mail order, hospital, retail, or federal facility).
• Prior experience in a high-volume, automated pharmacy environment is a plus.
Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Manual dexterity to handle medications and operate pharmacy automation equipment.
• Occasional lifting of boxes or supplies up to 25 lbs.
• Work is performed in a secure, climate-controlled pharmacy environment.
