Description
For almost 30 years, PSG has been relied upon as the leading data-driven, pharmacy benefit consulting firm in the country. This role will be focused on supporting needs for clients and internal client team related to PBM contract analytics and pricing. This individual will be responsible for providing consultative support for internal and external clients within PSG as well as establishing and maintaining relationships both internally and externally to ensure satisfaction of analytics.  The position will support PBM analytics such as; contract interpretation, pricing impact analyses, addressing complex industry issues, and process improvement. The individual must have exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills along with the ability to execute in a fast-paced team environment.  The consulting analyst is a client facing role and responsible for communicating complex analytical findings and conclusions.


Primary Responsibilities
•    Prepare and provide complex analytics to internal consultants and directly to clients.
•    Partner with consultants and clients to evaluate and identify cost and utilization trends and experience.
•    Participate in client discussions regarding PBM pricing strategies and analyses
•    Partner and support Consulting division with analytic support around various cost analyses
•    Provide documentation associated with product development and new product rollout.
•    Maintain the usability of existing technology and analytical tools 
•    Provide subject matter expertise for expanding and developing new products, technology and analytical tools
•    Assist in sales and marketing efforts
•    Assist in other analytic projects as needed
•    Assist Senior Vice President in management of business needs 


Required Skills and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics/Informatics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or health care related field
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (advanced knowledge in Excel a plus)
•    Proficient using SQL to extract and query data.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, resourceful, critical thinking, and time management skills
•    Excellent attention to detail and quality
•    Experience analyzing raw data, with ability to think logically and process sequentially with a high level of detailed accuracy.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills and discipline to multitask and prioritize projects to meet scheduled deadlines.
•    Professionally interact with a diverse group of stakeholders including executives, managers, clients, and subject matter experts both technical and non-technical.
•    Ability to work creatively, both independently and as part of a team
•    Ability to learn quickly and work on multiple projects simultaneously
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•    2-3 years of pharmacy data experience (exposure to Health Plan pharmacy data and analytics a plus)
•    3-5 years of experience and understating of the PBM (pharmacy benefit management) industry
•    Ability for some travel (10%)

The national average salary for this role is $120k-$150k in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
