Photo Stylist--Part-time

Position Goal: Based in Shepherdsville, KY the Stylist is a member of the Kentucky styling team and  has responsibilities in pre-production, production and post production for both Rue La La and Gilt.  The primary responsibility of the Stylist is to ensure creative styling quality for both product and digital asset production.  The Stylist works collaboratively with photographers, stylists and art directors on a regular basis. This position currently reports to the Sr. Manager of Styling & Brand Production.  This is a PART-TIME POSITION WORKING ONSITE AT OUR SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY LOCATION.

  Position Requirements:

 Essential Duties:

•  Responsible for organizing, prepping, and styling a wide range of products for style and digital asset production.
• Partner with the art directors, photographer, and set team members to execute the creative vision for all digital assets and ensure flawless execution on a daily basis. 
• Assist team members with styling/prop closet strategy in advance of each season, participating in cleanses and maintaining organization throughout the year.
• Responsible for following all styling guides and pdp standards.
• Responsible for training and coaching other assistant stylists, freelance stylists, and junior team members to help foster growth and development.  
• Active participant in all pre-production meetings to ensure flawless execution on set
• Maintain vendor packaging, sku tags, apparel tags, cleaning make-up stains and noting any damages that may have occurred throughout the production process. 
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency efforts by soliciting feedback from cross functional teams and making adjustments to our pre-production, production, and post production processes. 
• Active collaborator between Boston and KY studios, supporting improved styling quality and production workflow. 
• Support strategy and business needs.
• Other duties as identified and assigned.

 Other Job Requirements:  

• 4+ years of experience as a Stylist in a high volume production studio, preferably with an emphasis on fashion or home. 
• Experience with props and knowledge of styling techniques
• Strong experience working with models and collaborating with a photographer and art director 
• Deep understanding of digital photography, production studio pace and efficiency
• Background in art, design, fashion, merchandising or photography
• Strong communication skills and excellent ability to work with and lead a wide variety of people
• Ability to work in the grey, tackle complex problems, proactively anticipate project needs, offer solutions, and adaptable to change
• Flexibility and patience with the ability to accommodate last minute additions to schedules and changes in direction 
• Ability to work with a team to accomplish deadlines and production efficiency
• General interest in e-commerce and the desire to be a part of building a business

 Physical Requirements: 

• Standing for up to 10 hours
• Must be willing and able to frequently squat, bend, stoop, and reach for up to 10 hours
