Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced PHP Team Lead to join our dynamic team. The candidate should possess strong PHP development skills, leadership capabilities, and expertise in WordPress development, including custom plugin and theme development, along with automation techniques. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development process, ensuring high-quality code, and coordinating with other team members to deliver projects on time, maintaining existing PHP applications. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in planning and automating processes to streamline workflows. The person should have good communication skills for interaction with team members and other units, departments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of at-least 6 PHP Developers
2. Lead a team of PHP developers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
3. Proper resource management and task allocation within the team.
4. Establishing ways for team members to complete their tasks.
5. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
6. Architect, design, and develop scalable and maintainable PHP applications, with a focus on WordPress customization, including custom plugins and theme development.
7. Understand the requirements and have a solution based approach to issues.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their growth and development.
9. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
10. Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise, ensuring the smooth functioning of applications.
11. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, advocating for their adoption when appropriate, especially in the realm of WordPress development and automation.
12. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and QA engineers, to ensure seamless integration of components.
13. Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
14. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. 4-6 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
3. Strong knowledge in PHP, OOP, MySQL, MongoDB, AJAX, CSS, HTML/ XHTML standards, CSS, JavaScript (including JSON) , JQuery, NodeJS, Python, Prototype & Document Object Model Linux, Web Services, Apache, MVC, Code Igniter and Cake PHP Frameworks.
4. Proven experience in leading and managing a team of developers.
5. Proven experience in planning, execution, and implementation of high-quality software applications.
6. Experience with creating REST APIs.
7. Passion for exploring new technology, proactively identifying new opportunities and areas for improvement, and staying up to date with new technology.
8. Past experience in developing custom PHP applications with complex modules and integrations
9. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
10. Proficiency in database design MySQL and MongoDB, with experience working with document-oriented databases.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
13. Experience with version control system.
14. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
15. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
16. Passion for technology and a desire to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
