The Physical Security Associate is responsible for conducting and supporting the daily activities of the physical security department including but not limited to: the company’s physical access control and electronic protection systems, badge management, provisioning and
validating testing of new physical security controls, pulling compliance reports for internal review and/or customer consumption, program management of contractors that will be implementing and repairing security controls.
Responsibilities
Manage badging requests and emails in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot badge issues.
Manage badge clearances.
Maintain and manage physical security access control systems.
Support Human Resources during onboarding and off-boarding of personnel.
Complete and carry out all necessary documentation for employee, customer, vendor, and contractor badge requests.
Communicate with Zayo Security on new access control policies and inform them of any discrepancies.
Communicate badging and access control information with all office coordinators.
Update and maintain access control policy documents.
Maintain record of restricted access requests and obtain approval by authorizer.
Conduct monthly and quarterly access control audits and provide access control configuration reports.
Effectively use various software including but not limited to electronic ticketing and management systems and other software packages as needed.

Maintain current working knowledge of all access and electronic security systems the team uses.
Review all escalations for accuracy and completeness.
Participate in system review and problem solving program enhancement including the development, implementation, and support of the access management platform.
Provision and validate testing of new physical security controls.
Prepare compliance reports for internal review and/or customer consumption.
Program management of contractors that will be implementing and repairing security controls.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and providing effective support to all functions and individuals.
Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management and across all business units.
Clear and concise oral and written communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Full knowledge of physical security/asset protection methodology and implementation.
Discrete with the ability to gain trust of business leaders and others to discuss and respond to sensitive issues.
Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment.
Computer proficiency (moderate to advanced Google Suite of products).
Base pay range: $21.60 - $29.65 /hour, commensurate with experience.
