Practice Overview

• Join a collaborative team of 3 Cardiothoracic Surgeons and 3 Physician Assistants
• 95% surgical focus; ½-day weekly post-op clinic—no new consults, no rounding
• Assist on a variety of cases, including CABG, valve replacements, thoracic resections, robotic-assisted surgeries, and aortic work
• Endoscopic vein harvesting is required; endoradial experience a plus (training available)

Schedule

• 5-day workweek; 4.5 days in the OR, ½-day in clinic (post-ops only)
  • Average 2–3 cases per day; mix of heart and thoracic surgeries
  • Secondary call structure with 1 weekday on-call and 1 weekend per month; backup for emergency cases
  • Additional shift pay available for after-hours cases

Candidate Requirements

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with 3–5+ years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
• Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting
• Must hold NCCPA certification
