Physician Assistant - Vascular Surgery

St. Josephs Health is currently seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy, high-acuity vascular surgery service that will expose you to a highly specialized patient population while also including direct medical management of the hospitalized patient. Available shifts include days, nights, evenings, and weekends, with 10-hour and 12-hour options.

Responsibilities:

• Manage pre and postoperative care of the hospitalized patient including performing rounds, conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate tests, admission history and physicals
• Collaborate with and work at direction of attending physicians to form plans of care and manage hospitalized patients
• First assist in the operating room with all vascular surgery cases
• Inpatient only, no clinic

Qualifications:

• NYS licensed PA (RNFA), DEA certified/eligible
• Preferred vascular or cardiothoracic surgical experience
• Must have inpatient adult medicine experience
• PA applicants must already possess their RNFA certification

Compensation package:

• Compensation package: $75.00 per hour
• $10/hr differential for evenings
• $12/hr differential for nights
