Job Description

Compensation package includes base salary of $325k annual and bonuses for quality and production metrics. $200 per catch fee. Will consider a per shift rate if preferred. Extra shifts available for additional compensation ($3,500 per shift)

$40K sign on/relocation bonus

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

JOB FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provides and manages the direct health care for a specified patient population.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified population.
  • Examines patients, using medical instruments and equipment.
  • Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history.
  • Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition.
  • Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assess medical conditions.
  • Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years in the active practice of medicine desired.

 REQUIREMENTS
  • Must hold current, active license to practice medicine in the State of Louisiana.
  • Must have MD privileges at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
  • Medical Specialty License or Certification preferred.
  • State of Louisiana and Federal DEA Certification.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in specified area of Medical Specialty desired.
  • Highly organized and creative problem-solver who understands the importance of medical education.
  • Demonstrates excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
