Physician-OB Hospitalist
Job Description
Compensation package includes base salary of $325k annual and bonuses for quality and production metrics. $200 per catch fee. Will consider a per shift rate if preferred. Extra shifts available for additional compensation ($3,500 per shift)

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

JOB FUNCTIONS
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:
- Provides and manages the direct health care for a specified patient population.
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified population.
- Examines patients, using medical instruments and equipment.
- Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history.
- Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition.
- Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assess medical conditions.
- Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years in the active practice of medicine desired.
- Must hold current, active license to practice medicine in the State of Louisiana.
- Must have MD privileges at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
- Medical Specialty License or Certification preferred.
- State of Louisiana and Federal DEA Certification.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in specified area of Medical Specialty desired.
- Highly organized and creative problem-solver who understands the importance of medical education.
- Demonstrates excellent inter-personal skills.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
